Easter egg hunts in Kent 2019. Easter is fast approaching, and I’m delighted to tell you that our magnificent county has some fabulous Easter themed days out to offer. Be organised and get booking – if you are not on to it, then you can be disappointed if things are sold out. If you snooze you lose. So here we have the best Easter Egg hunts in Kent (not strictly all hunts, but Easter events none the less!)
Easter at Hever Castle
When? = 6th April 2019 – 22nd April 2019
Where? = Hever Castle, Hever Rd, Hever, Edenbridge TN8 7NG

It would be difficult to find somewhere more beautiful than the grounds of Hever Castle to spend a spring day enjoying Easter family fun. Not your normal Easter egg hunt! Make some special family memories this Easter, hop through the beautiful grounds following the trail of colourful carrots to claim your delicious chocolate treat. Celebrate spring by making and decorating an Easter bonnet at daily craft workshops*. Then show off your creation in a parade in front of the Castle with prizes for the best bonnets.
With a spring in your step, head into the Castle and help search for hidden bunnies. They’ve been rather mischievous and we can’t seem to find them!As well as the Easter themed activities a visit to Hever Castle in spring offers a great chance to explore the stunning gardens. Enjoy a dazzling display of spring blooms from late-flowering daffodils to hyacinths, camellias and tulips.
If your little ones are aged between 7-14, they can can explore the Tudor Towers adventure playground with its own moat, drawbridge and three turrets. It features three slides, two poles and interactive elements including musical instruments, a roof maze and hidden boxes to find. Or if they are under 7 the natural play area, Acorn Dell, is perfect for them. With its 2 metre high living willow structure, a giant sandpit, a mound with tunnels to clamber in and a climbing frame, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
Challenge yourself in the Yew Maze and see how long it takes you to find the way out. Then round off the day with seasonal home cooked food and mouth-watering cakes in the restaurants.

Enter the magical Hop Farm Family Park from 10am every day. The £3 per person entry fee includes all day indoor soft play, outdoor adventure play, crazy golf and all day entry into the animal farm and activities.
The kids can let off steam and enjoy our fabulous children’s attractions and rides including Bumper Carz, The Magic Castle, Giant Jumping Pillows, Hopper’s Animal Farm and much more. Plus egg-citing Easter games for the kids. And you can get close to our gorgeous lambs, bunnies and chicks!
Also, on Tuesday 9th April, PADDINGTON will be visiting the Hop Farm for meet and greets at intervals throughout the day. Cameras at the ready!
Eat fabulous ice-cream and sorbets from Hopper’s Cream & Ice Bar. Have your face painted by one of our talented face-painters. And should there be rain on the day, don’t worry as a number of the attractions are undercover, so whatever the weather, children and families will enjoy all the fun at the farm without getting cold or wet!
Easter at Penshurst Place

Across the centuries tales of beastly sea creatures and fascinating fish have dominated sailing stories, and this Easter we invite you to walk the garden rooms and discover the mythical creatures for yourselves! We’ll also be opening up the Old Coach House and helping you create your very own under-the-sea monsters!
Easter at Chartwell
When? = 6th Apr – 22nd Apr 2019

Explore the garden and woodlands of Chartwell, home of Winston Churchill, whilst following the trail to earn your chocolate Cadbury prize. Wearing wellies is suggested in case of muddy conditions, and we are told a shorter, buggy-friendly route is available. Take part in the Easter fun this spring with our Cadbury Easter Egg hunt. Take a stroll through the garden in our Randolph the Rabbit themed hunt to earn your chocolate prize.
Easter at Leeds Castle
When? = 19th – 22nd April 2019

Join the Junk Orchestra at Leeds Castle for daily musical ‘jamming sessions’. Create and play with instruments that have been cleverly constructed using bits of old rubbish. Founded by former STOMP member Saul Eisenberg, the Junk Orchestra use a super-sonic recycled collection of objects to create fun and fabulous music for the whole family to enjoy!
Families can even bring along some of their own litter and add it to an incredible sculpture created by award winning eco-artist Sarah Turner, which will also be displayed on the Pavilion Lawn. Children can also give their creative skills free reign at the Castle’s ‘mad hat’ making workshop! From colourful bunny ears to floral spring headbands, have a go at creating a fun and funky Easter hat using card, paint and glitter. Round off the fun with an Easter Trail through the grounds to win a chocolate reward! A fantastic Easter egg hunt in Kent.

This spring, join us at Ightham Mote for our popular Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt, this year with a nature theme.
Throughout the gardens follow our lifecycle trail, and discover the lifecycles of different animals at each stop. There are also storytelling sessions and lawn games on selected days. Inside the house activity room, kids can try out our self guided nature theme craft activities.

Explore the Brogdale orchards and all over Brogdale on a fun Easter egg hunt. See if you can find all of the hidden giant Easter eggs by following our special trail map. Take a quick trip on the fun tractor trailer and get exploring on the Easter egg trail. Hunt for all the giant eggs with their special letters and find out what message they spell out.
Once you’ve found all the hidden eggs head over to the Easter crafts room and collect your yummy Easter treat from the Easter bunny.
