The last thing you want is to pay a steep fee, queue for what seems like hours, only to leave feeling grumpy and disappointed that your children have met with a dreadful Santa impersonator, with no personality and a piece of poorly wrapped plastic tat.

Where? Audley End Rd, Audley End, Saffron Walden CB11 4JB, UK.
When? Christmas events – 20th November to 24th December.
Audley End has so many activities for the children, it includes a train ride to visit Father Christmas and his cheeky Elves, the children can also make reindeer food, visit Mother Christmas and take part in her interactive show.
What is included?
‘Our Christmas Special is the most magical, family, Christmas experience. You will board upon the Santa Express where our driver will navigate you through the Estate Woodland. You will arrive at Father Christmas’s Winter Wonderland where you and your family will meet Father Christmas himself, along with his very helpful Elves, receive a special gift and also watch a Christmas dance!’
‘After your train ride you will be led into the enchanted walk to visit the Gingerbread House. Here you meet Holly the Christmas Fairy and receive your special letter that you can write and post at our North Pole Post Office.’
‘Once you have visited the Gingerbread House, you will then explore our Adventure Play Area while enjoying the delights of our Café and seating area in our Tipi Tents. Your children can also create their own Reindeer Food to leave out on Christmas Eve and send their letters to Father Christmas at our North Pole Post Office!’
‘The fun does not stop there as you will also be able to meet the wonderful Mother Christmas at her interactive show.’

Marsh Farm’s adentures include some really fun activities including meeting animals, festive rides and ice skating. The children can also obtain a special elf money called ‘magical snowy’ which can be used to buy toys in the toy shop.
‘Now sit tight and listen carefully for your name….it’s time to see who is on the Naughty and Nice list at the Grotto. When it’s called you’ll get to meet Father Christmas himself and make sure he got your letter and is ready for the big day.
The magic doesn’t end here! Next you’ll visit The Teddy Bear Market where you can choose and make your very own fury friend to take home with you.
But before we head back to the farm, your visit to the North Pole wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Toy Shop in ElfVille, where you can exchange your Magical Snowy (that’s Elf money!) for any toy on the shelves.
Safely back on the farm, you can still stick around to enjoy our festive rides, meet the animals, indulge in treats from our special Yuletide menu and even have a go at ice skating!’

Another great place to visit Santa in Essex 2021 is Colchester Zoo. A festive day out here includes crafting with Father Christmas’s elves at the workshop, listening to a christmas tale, eating festive treats and viewing Santas reindeer in their stables.

When? Christmas Fair & Santa Sunday 12th December 2021 – 10:00am to 3:00pm.
At the Museum of Power this Christmas you can meet Santa in his Grotto, jump aboard and enjoy a miniature steam train ride, and get ahead with your Christmas gift shopping at the indoor market. There is also plemty of family entertainment to enjoy as well as children’s rides to please the little ones.

This Year You Can Experience a New Exclusive Christmas Experience at Nevendon Manor Events. This year a Few Families will have the opportunity to experience an Exclusive Personalised Christmas With Father Christmas and His Elves, where you will be invited into the Christmas Grotto which is the Beautiful Nevendon Manor.
‘You will have the most Magical Experience in a real setting to ensure the Reality of Christmas is brought to life. You will have a Personal Invite for your family. You will only be with your Family booking and the Experience will be just about You and your Family. You will be required to give further information (you will receive a form to complete once you have purchased tickets, which will be on your tickets) so it is vital that you read all communication.
Your experience will last approximately 50-60 minutes and you will have activities with the Elves as you arrive before you enter the Manor. Mrs Claus will greet you, escorting your family into her kitchen full of Christmas Festivities, where you will engage with activities with Mrs Claus. Mrs Claus will also have some information about your children and family to make it even more personalised.’
