Traveling and spending some quality family time is one of the best things you can do. But traveling with kids can be somewhat… well, challenging. You can’t really go everywhere and you have to plan your trips beforehand.

But, just because traveling with kids is a bit harder, it’s also something that’s completely doable, and if you know what you’re doing and where you’re going it should all be fine.

And when you’re traveling in Europe, Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries to visit and explore. That’s why we’ve nailed down four family-friendly locations that we believe will make for great experiences to remember until the rest of your lives. So, without any further ramblings, let’s go over them in no particular order (because they’re all great).

Enjoy the Mediterranean sea by spending a day in the water.

Surprisingly enough, one of the best things we believe you’re going to enjoy as a family is to go on a Croatia bareboat charter with 12knots. Why? Because Croatia has some of the most beautiful coasts in all of Europe.

Couple that with the fact that much of the Game of Thrones was filmed there and it’s a sure way to spend some time enjoying the most picturesque of Europe.

Make sure to charge your phones because the sunsets in the Mediterranean sea are among the most Instagrammable in the whole world.

Walk around the walls of Dubrovnik and enjoy a nice day out.

We mentioned it briefly in the previous paragraph, but Dubrovnik was one of the main filming locations for Game of Thrones.

Being a truly beautiful city, the walls of Dubrovnik are the ultimate location to just wander and go over every nook and cranny and enjoy history.

And if you really want to experience history, we advise you to go on a walk after the sun goes down. The atmosphere changes drastically and it’s like you’re in a completely different city, exposing the true face of Dubrovnik and its heritage.

Go outside the city and enjoy the natural beauty of the Plitvice National Park.

But sometimes a city can give you only that much. You need something different, something to make you feel the wilderness of a country. But having kids with you means that you can’t really wander too far off the main trail.

Plitvice National Park is the perfect place to explore wild Croatia, but still, keep yourself and your family completely safe.

We pick Plitvice National Park because of the beautiful, turquoise waterfalls.

Visit the museum of senses in Split!

Lastly, we had to put the museum of senses in Split. You might ask why, but if you’ve ever visited a place that’s somewhat remotely close to this one, you will know what we’re talking about.

A museum of senses is something that you and your family will remember for the rest of your lives. Not only that but you’ll also have a great opportunity to snap some of the coolest photos you’ll ever will in your life.

While Croatia is a pretty small country, we still recommend visiting. It’s one of the most picturesque places in Europe, even challenging Italy’s beauty.
