Easter egg hunts in Kent 2018.  Easter is fast approaching, and I’m delighted to tell you that our magnificent county has some fabulous Easter themed days out to offer. Be organised and get booking – if you are not on to it, then you can be disappointed if things are sold out. If you snooze you lose. So here we have the best Easter Egg hunts in Kent ( not strictly all hunts, but Easter events none the less!) 

Easter at Hever Castle

When? = 30th March – 15th April 2018

Where? = Hever Castle, Hever Rd, Hever, Edenbridge TN8 7NG

It would be difficult to find somewhere more beautiful than the grounds of Hever Castle to spend a spring day enjoying Easter family fun. Activities include a Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt, Easter bonnet craft workshop, Easter best bonnet parade and a Castle quiz. As well as the Easter themed activities a visit to Hever Castle in spring offers a great chance to explore the stunning gardens. Visitors can enjoy a dazzling display of spring blooms from late-flowering daffodils to hyacinths, camellias and tulips.

Easter at The Hop Farm 

When? = 30th March – 15th April 2018

Where? = The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent, TN12 6PY

The Hop Farm are offering fantastic Easter fun for a splendid price. Enter the magical Hop Farm Park from 10am every day. The £1 per person entry fee includes all day indoor soft play, outdoor adventure play and crazy golf. The kids can let off steam and enjoy the fabulous children’s attractions and rides including Hovermania, The Magic Castle, Giant Jumping Pillows, Hopper’s Animal Farm and much more. Plus egg-citing Easter games for the kids. And you can get close to the resident lambs, bunnies and chicks.

Easter at Penshurst Place

When? = 30th March – 15th April 2018

Where? = Penshurst Place, Penshurst, Tonbridge TN11 8DG

Children are invited for Easter Egg hunts and seasonal crafts. 

Join the Easter bunny and his friends, to hunt giant Easter Eggs and whilst using some of woodland animal knowledge to answer clues on the egg hunt.

Easter at Chartwell 

When? = 30th March – 15th April 2018

Where?  = Chartwell ,National Trust, Mapleton Road, Westerham, Kent, TN16 1PS

Prices? = Usual admission charges, which can be found here, plus £2.50 per egg trail 

Explore the garden and woodlands of Chartwell, home of Winston Churchill, whilst following the trail to earn your chocolate Cadbury prize. Wearing wellies is suggested in case of muddy conditions, and we are told a shorter, buggy-friendly route is available.


Easter at Leeds Castle

When? = 30th March – 15th April 2018

Where? = Leeds Castle, Maidstone, ME17 1PL

 As well as the traditional Easter egg hunt and quiz, Leeds Castle are also hosting a circus on selected dates over the Easter period. With these fab fun events, plus beautiful grounds and property to explore, Leeds Castle is a splendid choice for the Easter season, as there is something to please each member of the family. 

Easter at The Spa Railway 

When? = 30th & 31st March and 1st & 2nd April 2018

Where? = Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells West Station, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN2 5QY

There’s lots of Easter fun going on at the Spa Railway this year.

Visit the Spa Valley Railway at Easter to find Easter Eggs hidden around the line. Check out the  green timetable that is being operated throughout the Easter period, with steam and heritage diesel trains in action. Standard fares apply throughout the Easter period with a family ticket being just £30.00, valid for unlimited travel on the day of your visit.

There are different Easter activities to enjoy at each station you visit …

Theres also a Spot the Easter Bunny competition, with a chance to win a family ticket to a Day out with Thomas at the Spa Valley Railway in October 2018.

Children can collect the competition sheet from a ticket office. The rabbits will be on the same side as the platforms at Tunbridge Wells and Eridge, and around the middle of the journey in the Groombridge Station area. 

After Easter organisers will draw the sheets out of the boxes and the first correct one for each of the days will win a family ticket worth £45 for a Day out With Thomas. 

As you travel between Tunbridge Wells and Eridge try to spot as many of the rabbits along the side of the railway line and TICK underneath those you have seen! 

At the end of your visit return your sheet to the boxes at any of the main stations and collect your chocolate egg for taking part too! Don’t forget your name at the end and also add the day that you visited. Sounds EGG – CELLENT!!! 

Easter at Groombridge Place

When? = 30th March – 14th April

Where? = Groombridge Place, Groombridge, Tunbridge Wells, TN3 9QG

An Alice in Wonderland theme returns to Groombridge Place this Easter with an event promised to be even bigger and greater than ever before!

The whole family can meet the Mad Hatter, Alice, The Queen of Hearts, Cheshire Cat and of course the forgetful White Rabbit!
See the characters thrill audiences with their circus tricks high up on the Aerial Hoop and Aerial Trapeze in the forest and join the Mad Hatter for fun filled craft activities!

Easter at Ightham Mote

When? = 30th/31st March and 1st/2nd April 2018

Where? = Mote Road, Ivy Hatch, Sevenoaks, TN15 0NT

On these selected dates Ightham Mote are hosting Cadbury Easter egg hunts around their stunning gardens.Have a look out for the extra activities and adventures to be had along the way, including letting off steam in the natural play area. 

Easter at The Dockyard

When? = 3rd-17th April

Where? = Chatham Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TE

How about an Easter egg hunt with a bit of a difference? Search the historic dockyard for Chathams famous rope eggs, plus lots more seasonal activities. Keep an eye on their website for further details. 

Easter at Brogdale

When? = 30th, 31st March and 1st April

Where? = Brogdale Farm, Faversham, ME13 8XZ

There’s loads to do at the wonderful Easter event at Brogdale. Meeting the baby animals, live hatching chicks and a hunt for giant Easter eggs in the orchards! There will be face painting, Easter themed crafts and there may even be a special guest appearance of the Easter Bunny himself!
